About Me
Hi, I'm Wendy Del Monte — the voice behind The Wait Is Over. I'm a mom navigating the messy, beautiful middle of life, and I started this space to share the good, the bad, and the ugly of it all. No filters, no pretense — just real talk about midlife, motherhood, and the things that matter most.
Bullying hit our family hard, and my daughter Ally's story reshaped everything I thought I knew about keeping kids safe. That experience fuels my advocacy work. I believe bullying prevention isn't a one-month conversation — it's an everyday commitment. Through this blog, I share what we've learned and what I wish someone had told us sooner.
When I'm not writing about bullying or health, you'll find me in the kitchen, on a family adventure, or laughing through the chaos of raising kids and getting older. This is life in the middle — and I'm glad you're here.
Want to reach out? Drop me a line — I'd love to hear from you.
Beyond the heavier topics, this space is also a chronicle of the everyday — the meals that bring people together, the holidays that don't go as planned, the quiet moments of joy tucked between the stresses of midlife. Some days feel like a tailspin, especially when life throws a curveball that upends an entire week or even a season. But the heart of this blog is about reclaiming enjoyment, learning to let go of what you can't control, and finding gratitude even in the mess. It's an honest reminder that living life fully doesn't mean having it all figured out — it means showing up, carrying on, and finding the light wherever it happens to break through.
