How many times have you grabbed a bowl out of the cabinet, poured cereal, and thought, yeah, that’s about a cup, and proceeded to chow down? And have you ever later taken a measuring cup, measured out 1 cup of cereal, saw at what it looked like in the bowl and said, UH-OH? Or, how about grabbing a dinner plate and filling it up with what you think is healthy portions only later to realize you overate?
Precise Portions was kind enough to send me their Focus Portion Control Dinnerware set for 1. It includes 1 FOCUS plate, 1 cereal/fruit bowl, 1 drinking glass, 5 daily menu planning place mats, 1 coaster, a Quick Start Guide to Eating Healthy booklet, and a 4 oz portion control ladle. I LOVE IT! LOVE LOVE LOVE IT! It made my life SO easy. I, like many people, had a skewed idea of what portions sizes were. Once I started really watching my food intake, and eating healthy AND measuring out my food, I was amazed at what a healthy portion size was! I had to pull out my scale, my measuring cups, and spoons to simply dish up dinner! That was quite a pain, and honestly, I ended up guesstimating a lot. Then I found the Precise Portion plates, and life got easier! What is it?
“Precise Portions is a dietitian-designed portion control dinnerware system that makes it easy to eat well.
Our products take the guesswork out of healthier eating; retraining you to eat the right amounts of the right foods, in the right proportion.”
Look how easy it was to plate up a meal in healthy portion sizes!
I LOVE the bowl as well. In fact, my kids fight over it, so GUESS what we’re getting for Christmas? It’s so easy tp pour cereal, fill with veggies for snacking, or even (yes, I said it) ice cream. Knowing NOT to go beyond the lines makes having a treat easier!
HOW many time have you, or your kids, grabbed a glass out of the cupboard and filled it with orange juice and drank it right down? Did you ever measure out how many ounces are in that glass? A serving of juice is 4 ounces, and milk, 8 ounces. Using this glass, you can easily tell where the measurements are!
The dinnerware is PRETTY. This is something I could serve dinner to other people on and no one would know, except for me, that it was a tool to help our family eat healthy. That lovely vine pattern is actually measuring out portion sizes!
I followed some of the meal suggestions that were printed on the helpful menu planning placemats and in 6 weeks, I have lost over 13 pounds! (yes, I am exercising, too).
Here is the bottom line: In order to lose weight, you have to eat well and exercise. The eating well part is healthy FOODS and healthy PORTIONS. This dinnerware makes it EASY to make healthy portion decisions. And anything that make eating healthy EASY can only be a PLUS!
So—where do you get this awesomeness?
