What TO Wear with Clinton Kelly

macysclintonI got to hang out at a catwalk in Providence, RI with Clinton Kelly this weekend at Macy’s in Providence, Rhode Island!   How COOL is that?

Ok, me and a few hundred of his fans!   Clinton is SOO funny. I love him On What NOT To Wear and The Chew.   I was cracking up listening to him talk about all the things he’s seen and been asked!   After critiquing a few peoples wardrobes, he got down to business and showed off some really cool outfits that are available at Macy’s.

Once again I was impressed that Macy’s and Clinton made sure to include models of all different ages and body types.  There were two “fluffier” models who wore some amazing outfits (and yes, one was my pal Kate who SHINED as usual!)  One of the big trends is BELTS BELTS BELTS!  During the Q & A I was was able to ask Clinton a question. I told him I’ve spent most of my life shying away from belts, and I was leery of wearing one. I asked him the right way to wear one, and he answered that by wearing the right size- match it to your body type  – so of you are bigger wear bigger belts.. and to wear it on the narrower parts of you body. For me, that’s right below my bra! So I plan on checking out a few belts to try on soon!   I loved his advice on shoes (wear NICE shoes, not crappy ones, and never cross trainers out!) and age appropriate  dressing.  In a nutshell, leave the boobs and butts to the young girls!  If you’re older, show your style and class.. not your boobs and a**.. lol!  And last but not least, my most favorite thing of all!

He spoke of NEVER NEVER NEVER saying the “H” word: hate. As In, I hate my butt, hate my arms, by boobs, and so forth.

“Love your vessel…(your body)

it houses you soul”

I ADORE that.  He is so right. Dress the body with style and class that holds your soul… and respect it.

I spent $100 at Macy’s on Saturday getting a SUPER cool WAY out of my usual  style outfit- from Style and Co.  red pointe pants and a gray knit tunic.. and I can’t wait to wear it!   It was very easy to find plenty of clothes I’d love to wear (hey Macy’s need a sponsor to wear your clothes around?) Macy’s also has a great beauty department and I got a great Estee Lauder Eye kit “the art of Eye Dramatic  EYE” kit that will help me ROCK the smoky eye this holiday season!

With my purchases, I qualified to receive a copy of Clintons’ Book, “Oh no she DIDN”T and he autographed it!  And guess what? I’m giving it to one of you!

This is what Amazon says about his book:

Who hasn’t had the unfortunate experience of witnessing—or (gasp!) actually wearing—one of these fashion disasters?

The atrocities Clinton Kelly has seen—it’s a surprise he hasn’t gouged out his own eyes. Mom jeans? Fancy fingernails? Tracksuits? In the same straight-talking style that has made TLC’s What Not to Wear a smash hit for eight seasons, the cheeky media personality and author of Freakin’ Fabulous shows women how to outfit themselves with confidence and style as he pokes fun at fashion “don’ts.” From the most obvious faux pas (Texas tuxedos) to borderline offenses (peekaboo boobies), Clinton offers detailed and entertaining critiques of our top one hundred sartorial slip-ups. He turns his keen eye to wardrobe, color, cut, cleanliness, hairstyle, accessories, and even posture. And because he loves you, he presents easy alternatives and practical suggestions for creating fabulous outfits that will make you forget you ever wore socks with clogs.

It’s friggin’ HILARIOUS.  HYSTERICAL. just be ready to recognize yourself in some spots!

You can win my signed copy of OH NO SHE DIDN’T!  It’s easy entries!
