Healthy Shamrock Shake!

I love a Shamrock Shake around St. Patrick’s Day.  The shake that a certain fast food restaurant makes has 530 calories and is full of ingredients I cannot say much less want in my body, and it certainly does not fit my healthy lifestyle.  After some tinkering,  I came up with my own version that is clean, green and definitely has a taste of the Irish in it!  It’s full of healthy ingredients that FUEL your body and  it only has  267 calories all healthy clean ingredients. Isn’t that lucky?


Healthy Shamrock Shake


  • 1/2 half frozen banana
  • 1/2 avocado
  • 1 cup baby spinach
  • 1 cup almond milk (or any kind of milk)
  • 2 drop mint extract
  • 3 drops vanilla extract
  • (optional- 1/2 tsp stevia or sugar)


  1. Add all ingredients into a high powered blends and blend until smooth.

I love being able to come up with healthy  and tasty alternative to  unhealthy treats. It shows my family that eating well and being healthy isn’t boring! This is not a sweet shake, so add some green grapes, sugar or honey to sweeten it to your liking!
