One of the worst part of being bullied is the sense that you may be all alone and without friends. Today’s tip on how to Be More Than A Bystander is to be a friend.
When you are being bullied, it feels like everyone is against you. Sometimes it feels as if there is no one to be there for you. One thing you can do is simply be a friend. You don’t have to be “besties”, just be a friends.
- Sit with them at lunch
- Walk with them in the hall
- Save them a seat- on the bus, in class, or at an assembly
- Remember that it can be one small thing, something as small as a smile, and a hi, how was your weekend?
Being bullied is lonely. Help by being a friend. Sometimes, just one act of kindness can make a big difference.
